Wednesday, January 11, 2006 January 11 Briefing Focuses on Abbott’s Intranet-Based Compensation Toolkit A case study on how Abbott Laboratories teamed with the Chatfield Group to develop an intranet-based compensation toolkit will be featured at the Jan. 11, 2006 Breakfast Briefing of the Chicago Compensation Association (CCA). At the briefing, Cécile Morin, senior manager of compensation for Abbott Laboratories, and Patricia Svare, founder and managing director of the Chatfield Group, will discuss development of the toolkit, launched in mid-2005 to strengthen Abbott’s compensation communications. In developing the toolkit, Abbott was seeking to leverage its intranet capabilities to provide fast and accurate answers to questions about pay and total compensation. During its first 24 hours of availability, the toolkit generated more than 1,000 hits. The Jan. 11 briefing will be held at the offices of Gardner Carton and Douglas, 191 N.
