Karen Larock

Focus Areas
Karen Larock is a versatile communications consultant with 20 years of internal and external communications experience. She writes, edits, designs and oversees the production of communications materials. In addition, she coordinates activities with photographers, graphic artists, printers and other suppliers. Karen partners well with client teams and shares outstanding consulting, management and budgeting skills.

Experience
For more than 10 years, Karen has provided consultation to clients of varied sizes in numerous industries. She has produced a wide variety of corporate communications, advertising/public relations and presentations/audio-visual projects from concept to delivery.

Earlier in her career, Karen served as benefits communications specialist for Premark International, Inc. in Deerfield, Illinois. She provided employee benefits communication materials for the nearly 25,000 employees of Premark, corporate headquarters for Tupperware, Wilsonart, West Bend, Precor and other international consumer and commercial products manufacturers. She also worked in communications for Carson Pirie Scott & Company in Chicago, as an account executive for a Chicago-based marketing public relations firm and as a reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times.

Education & Credentials
Karen earned a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and graduated as valedictorian from Saint Mary's College, Winona, Minnesota. She also received a French language certificate from the Alliance Francaise, Paris, France. In her leisure time, she teaches piano and vocal arts.
