Annika Rothbaum

Focus Areas
Annika Rothbaum helps clients build brand recognition and extend their message by planning events and managing social media campaigns. While in Sales and Marketing with American Girl Place, Annika planned successful brand-building benefits and hosted gatherings for such prestigious organizations as Comer Children's Hospital and McDonald's. With customer events that ranged from in-store crafts and cooking classes, to tours that get customers out and about, every special event was designed with girls in mind. Annika’s successful marketing activities surrounding product launches helped to develop the company’s brand while it grew from a catalogue company to one of the most successful brick and mortar retailers in the US. Today, American Girl ranked as the third-best-selling doll brand in the country.

Annika also supports client employment branding and recruitment needs in a variety of industries, working with hiring managers to identify the needs of their organization. She uses her social media savvy and relationship-building skills to locate and recruit candidates for the current openings while cultivating leads for future opportunities.

Experience
Annika first honed her marketing and sales skills at the CBS Television Network. She then worked in Sales and Marketing for American Girl Place Chicago where she managed the group sales program, training teams during the expansion into the New York and Los Angeles markets. She developed and executed marketing and brand-building events, strategically partnering with corporate and community groups. Annika is an active community volunteer, having served on the Board for Collaboraction, an experimental Chicago theater company. Currently, she is Treasurer of the Board at the Glasser Preschool in Oak Park, Illinois and is involved at the Oak Park Temple, serving on the biennial Auction Committee and the Social Action Committee.

Education & Credentials
Annika received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
