Jerry brings a wealth of experience in HR management,
executive development and labor relations to his role as a consultant.
After receiving his law degree from the University of Iowa, he began
his career negotiating labor contracts for a division of Tenneco,
where he served as corporate director of labor relations before being
named the top HR executive for a Tenneco business unit with extensive
operations in Europe. Jerry later served as corporate vice president
of human resources for Chicago-based Ivex Packaging Corp., helping
that company evolve from a leveraged buyout owned by a venture capital
firm to a successful initial public offering (IPO). He also held senior
HR positions with both Snap-On, Inc., of Kenosha, WI, and Whitesell
Corp. of Naples, FL.
In addition to his HR experience, Jerry served in general management
positions with both Tenneco and Ivex. In those capacities, he developed
global supply chain strategies, launched major capital projects, integrated
acquisitions and spurred sales through sales team development, product
innovations and lean process improvements. As the former general manager
of substantial business units, Jerry has a unique strategic perspective
from which to assess HR issues and recommend pragmatic courses of
action. |
